Regal Carpentry

Regal Carpentry was established in 1990 by two partners, Russell Lee and Gerard Lockey.

One of our first clients was Berkely Homes. Regal carried out the carpentry package for four luxury detached homes in Westoning, Bedfordshire.

The partners having built some 150 self build timber frame houses for Potton Timber channelled their efforts and experience to further develop Regal Carpentry in the construction of timber frame buildings.

Over the years Regal Carpentry has been privileged to work in partnership with many of the UK’s foremost timber frame fabricators. These are connections we have worked hard to generate and relationships we have worked equally as hard to sustain and grow. 

The company has built up a reputation for reliability and honesty with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. This ethos has been maintained throughout the growth of Regal Carpentry and is as important now as it was in the early days.

Regal now employs in excess of 90 operatives working on over 30 contracts, covering an approximate radius of 80 miles from its base in Bedford.

As you can expect from a forward looking and professional company, Regal Carpentry ensures that all of its personnel are correctly certified with a great emphasis being placed on training and Health and Safety. In addition to this, the company takes on a minimum of three apprentices every year to help ensure that new skills are brought into the industry.

Regal Developments was formed by Regal Carpentry Directors Gerard Lockey and Russell Lee as an arm of Regal Carpentry to specialise in providing personal dwellings.
